But for now, you’ve decided to be the last to leave because you don’t want your perfect night in Crystal City to end.
So…what will you do now? Come back next week of course!

In 1986, Carlo Petrini, a contributing writer to top-tier culinary publications, created the International Slow Food movement – an alternative to fast food that strives to preserve traditional and regional cuisine and encourages farming of plants, seeds and livestock characteristic of the local ecosystem. Roughly translated, Petrini’s movement gave voice to the slogan for local farming “buy local” that focuses on the importance of supporting local agriculture.
But where can you support local agriculture near 220 Twentieth in Crystal City? At the Crystal City FreshFarm Markets of course! Every Tuesday, local farmers bring their fresh fruits and vegetables and such so that area residents have the opportunity to buy local. The market, which runs every Tuesday from now through November 20, is held from 3 to 7 p.m. on the sidewalk along Crystal Drive between 18th and 20th Streets.
Imagine how this shifts your quality of eco-life now. You can walk to the market from your 220 Twentieth apartment without depending on energy to get you there, buy organic, which is better for you and the environment, support local farming, and then go home and cook your food slowly, instead of consuming the tasteless fast food variety.
Now that’s a quality slow food experience.
220 Twentieth, your luxury apartments in Crystal City, VA is an example for eco-friendly living. It’s a LEED Silver Certified apartment, which means it has an internationally recognized mark of excellence from LEED, an organization that provides building owners and operators with a framework for identifying and implementing practical and measureable green building design, construction, operations and maintenance solutions.
Wow, that sounds seriously eco-responsible, right?
Considering all of that, don’t you want to make sure that your apartment is eco-friendly on the inside?
If you live at 220 Twentieth, you have many options for finding eco-friendly cleaning resources right in your surrounding area. You can check out eco-friendly cleaning services like The Cleaning Authority in Alexandria.
Or you can make your own lean and green cleaning products using everyday household products like vinegar and baking soda. These products are a great alternative to traditional ones, because they don’t go through the process of off-gassing, or evaporation of volatile chemicals in non-metallic materials at normal atmospheric pressure. Whew, that’s a lot of terminology, too. It’s not easy being green.
But at 220 Twentieth, (and everywhere actually), it’s the right thing to do.
The Washington Nationals are hot, hot, hot right now. Don’t you want to get caught up in the excitement of cheering on a winning team?
We’re hiring a shuttle and buying tickets to see the Washington Nationals take on the Atlanta Braves on Friday July 20th. So you know what that means – you can get caught up in as much “cheer” as you want, and you will have a safe ride home.
Picture it – sitting in the skybox with your favorite 220 Twentieth friends, looking all sportingly and all in your Washington Nationals paraphernalia. Well the truth is that you’ll probably be sitting in the stands, but whatever.
This is what we’re about. Community, fun and luxury living.
Oh, and winning too – we hope that happens. Go Nationals!
You’re walking down Crystal Drive, just a short trip from your apartment at 220 Twentieth, and you find yourself transfixed by the hypnotic sound of a drum beat. As the drum beat beckons you forward, you realize that the sound is a portion of a revolutionary idea and experience – Outdoor Zumba.
Caught up in the joy that can be found in music and movement outdoors, you drop your tote bag and join in immediately, overcome by the fun of taking a Zumba class at noon. Before you know it, you’ve already enjoyed an hour’s worth of intoxicating exercise. The drum beat stops, and you’re the only one standing there zumba-ing, refusing to let go of the rhythm.
Seriously, it could happen – every Wednesday from now until September 26th from 12 – 1 p.m. You could get outside and enjoy fresh air and rhythm just a short walk away from your 220 Twentieth apartment. And after your class, caught up in the experience of cooling down, you’ll walk back home, and enter your apartment thinking – “Man, this is a cool place to live.”

Pet Friendly Apartment Living
What does it mean to have a pet friendly environment?
Find your answer in Teddy (named after Teddy Roosevelt), our favorite Yorkie at 220 Twentieth Street. At 220 Twentieth, a luxury eco-apartment building in Crystal City, VA, Teddy is living the life – a healthier, eco-friendly lifestyle with luxury services and amenities that provide unparalleled comfort and convenience.
This includes unlimited gourmet treats from his owners, regular “hair do’s” and trimmings from the groomer, and a great Crystal City neighborhood with equally spoiled pups. Occasionally, Teddy gets together with his equally spoiled 220 Twentieth canines to toast to living the good life. “It doesn’t get better than this,” they bark in succession, while enjoying organic dog treats. After all, Teddy won’t eat any old dog treat.
So maybe we’re going for a bit of entertainment value here with “The Life of Teddy and friends at 220 Twentieth.” But if you want to create a life of quality with your pet where pet friendliness is valued, come by and visit us. You may get a glimpse of Teddy. But he’ll probably be too busy living the good life to say hello.

The fourth of July came and went but we hope everyone enjoyed the holiday!
Residents at 220 Twentieth, a luxury eco-friendly apartment building in Crystal City, VA, were invited to a swanky soiree upstairs on the fourth. What could be better than enjoying a chic rooftop party while enjoying romantic views of DC and Crystal City?
Enjoying it while indulging in succulent barbecue from JR Caterers and listening to the sounds of DjEddo from B3ntertainment. Face it, listening to Katy Perry on at our rooftop shindig while sipping on an ice cold beer (or two!) is a lot better than sipping on a Coca-Cola at your friend’s backyard barbecue. On our rooftop barbecue, residents not only had great food and music, they also had panoramic views of every fireworks show in DC, VA and MD!
We hope all of our residents and their guests had a great time last night mingling with the neighbors and munching on deliciousness while enjoying sounds from DjEddo!
